This year will be Upper Moreland High School's 5th Annual Mini-THON! Our Mini-THON raises money to aid families with children who are dealing with pediatric cancer through the Four Diamonds. Our 5th Annual Mini-THON will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017. That evening, students will be on their feet for six hours, dancing and participating in a series of games and events.
The Four Diamonds was founded in 1972 by Charles and Irma Millard in honor of their son, Christopher, who lost his battle with cancer at the age of fourteen. The Millards wanted to establish a program that would provide financial assistance for families whose children were being treated for cancer and the Penn State Children's Hospital. Whatever bills insurance doesn't cover and covered by the Four Diamonds. The proceeds from Mini-THON have helped lessen both the financial and emotional burdens of over 2,000 families struggling with the battle against pediatric cancer. Our Mini-THON is separate from Penn States' Annual Dance Marathon, and to date, Mini-THONs at high schools and middle schools have raised over $13,000,000. All proceeds from our Mini-THON go to the Four Diamonds. Last year we raised over $24,000, and this year's goal is $30,000.
Please consider joining us in our fight against cancer by participating in or donating to our Mini-THON this year!
