Participants of the 2020 Elizabethtown Area HS Mini-THON are joining hundreds of schools and the Four Diamonds Foundation to conquer childhood cancer by hosting a 12 hour dance marathon on 03/06/2020. Our slogan for this year is "Make this Cancer's Last Rodeo" with a western theme.

Mini-THON hits very close to home in the Elizabethtown Area School District, as the founder grew up right here. In 1969, 11 year old Chris Millard, a student at Elizabethtown, was diagnosed with cancer. He wrote a story about a knight conquering cancer by finding the magical four diamonds – courage, wisdom, strength, and honesty. After he passed away, his parents, Charles and Irma Millard, founded the Four Diamonds.

Last year, EAHS raised $85,717.50, which helps the children and their families in their fight against cancer by providing treatments, counseling, therapy, and overall financial support.

In the U.S., 16,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year – that’s two classrooms of kids every day. Your support also ensures that every Four Diamonds child, regardless of income, receives the highest quality of childhood cancer care without ever seeing a bill for that care.

The mission of the Four Diamonds is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research.
