The SG Mini-THON is an effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Since 2003, SG students raised $1,133,579.85 for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. In 2015, the SG Mini-THON expanded to include students in grades 7-12. All Spring Grove students who register to participate will stay on their feet from 9am to 9pm to make strides to find a cure for pediatric cancer.

 

All SGMS & SGHS students who wish to register for the SG Mini-THON AND receive a Mini-THON t-shirt MUST do the following by February 13, 2023:

• Complete online DonorDrive registration.
• Complete the Permission & Medical Form.
  • The form requires acknowledgement from both the participant and guardian, so it is recommended that the student and guardian complete this form together. 
• Pay a $25 non-refundable registration fee via cash or check. (Fee pays for t-shirt, lunch, snack, dinner, and entertainment.)
  • NOTE: Students who register for the Mini-THON between Feb. 13-March 18 must pay a non-refundable $35 registration fee and the participant will NOT receive a t-shirt.
• Collect at least $30 in donations AND record them on a donation sheet.
  • Place the registration fee AND a minimum of $30 in donations (recorded on a donation sheet) in an envelope and turn it into the blue Mini-THON box in the MS Office or the HS Guidance Office. (Note: If you recorded your $30 of donations online, you do not need to turn in a donation sheet.)
  • If your family is having financial difficulties at this time and cannot afford the registration fee, please indicate this on your Mini-THON registration form and contact Monica Eckenrode (eckenrom@sgasd.org) no later than March 1, 2023. A generous person will cover your registration fee but you will still be responsible for collecting at least $30 in donations to help battle pediatric cancer.
