This year, I will be participating in a Four Diamonds Mini-THON. In September of 2018, my 9 year old brother, Devin, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. He went through 9 months of chemotherapy and a surgery to remove the upper part of his right arm and his shoulder. He is making an amazing recovery and there is no doubt in my mind that he is the strongest boy I will ever know.
During the time that he was sick, I learned to never take anything for granted and to appreciate the small moments. I also learned the true importance of family and a strong support system. This inspired me to start a Mini-THON at my school. I want to take what I learned and use it to help others who are dealing with childhood cancer.
Four Diamonds assists families who are dealing with pediatric cancer through comprehensive support, superior care, and innovative research. Easton’s goal is to raise $12,000 for the kids. On March 20th, we will be dancing for 12 hours overnight. Please consider joining the fight and donating towards our goal!
