Hello Friends and Family!

I am back for my 4th year of taking a stand against childhood cancer.

My name is Maddie Morgan, I am a senior for the 2022-2023 school year, and I have the honor of serving as Twin Valley’s Overall! I have also been re-elected to serve on the Mini-THON Student Leadership Council for a second year. This year has already proved to be very promising, so I am ecstatic to see what we help Four Diamonds accomplish!

If you are not familiar with Four Diamonds and their mission, the money we raise will support Four Diamonds' research to better prevent, diagnose, treat and eventually cure childhood cancer. Additionally, every Four Diamonds family at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital never sees a medical bill and all their payments are covered by Four Diamonds in addition to gas, groceries, and other needs. This ensures that families can spend their energy on their child instead of worrying about how they will pay their bills.

I learned about Mini-THON well before my freshman year, so when I finally got to high school, I was so excited to join Mini-THON. I was over the moon after hearing about all of the great things students do year round with the Four Diamonds, and I really wanted to help their mission. It wasn’t until my sophomore year until I started to get heavily involved in the club. During that year, I was able to raise $2,468 which immediately motivated me to raise even more the following year. My junior year was filled with all things Mini-THON. I was elected to join the Mini-THON Student Leadership Council, and I became the Fundraising Overall for Twin Valley. Having a strong role on the officer team definitely allowed me to become even more immersed in the club. I organized many different events, and many new ones that we plan to bring back for a second time this year! When it came time for our final Mini-THON event, I had accomplished my goal of not only beating my fundraising record from the previous year, but I was the top fundraiser with $6,426 raised! With all of my fundraising experience in mind, I have set a goal of raising $10,000 this year. This will be a big mountain to climb, but with all of your help, I know we will achieve it. For The Kids!

We have already planned and executed several fundraisers this year, and we continue to plan and prepare more and more every day for the rest of the year. Below are pictures of some of my favorite Mini-THON Moments so far this year!
