MY STORY:

I have been involved in mini-THON ever since my freshman year and I knew that it was a club that I would continue to be a part of. When I was about seven years old my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer which soon metastasized and the doctors told her she had seven months left. Those seven months turned into seven years that I could not be more grateful for, it wasn’t until her death in November of 2020 that I could truly understand what the affects of this disease could have on a person. Going through this only made me realize more how important mini-THON is to families whose kids are diagnosed with cancer. I put my whole heart into making the lives of the kids and families suffering from cancer a little easier by raising money and promoting the club through my leadership positions. This year I was given the opportunity to be the executive director of my schools mini-THON. With all of my experiences within the club and my family, I know that this is something a family should never have to experience, and the parents should never have to attend their child’s funeral. #FTK

Hello Friends and Family!

I am taking a stand against childhood cancer by joining thousands of Mini-THON® student volunteers who are fundraising for Four Diamonds.

In the U.S., more than 16,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year - that's one child every 33 minutes.

The dollars I raise will support Four Diamonds' research to better prevent, diagnose, treat and cure childhood cancer. Thanks to our support, Four Diamonds scientists and doctors can accelerate their work to:

Conduct clinical trials that leads to new treatments and drugs;
Offer treatment and hope to patients whose disease is not responding to therapy;
Foster collaboration with doctors and scientists around the world; and
Train researchers so we can continue to fight for the next generation.

Our support also ensures that every Four Diamonds child, regardless of income, receives the highest quality of childhood cancer care without ever seeing a bill for that care. Since 1972, Four Diamonds has helped more than 4,800 children and their families.
